Cherry angiomas — Campbell de Morgan spots — are small, bright red domed lesions made of clustered blood vessels. They are common from the 30s onwards, they are benign, and they increase in number with age. Lesions presenting for treatment are frequently larger haemangiomas rather than small surface spots, and these need either surgical excision or curettage and cautery depending on size, depth and site.Why these are assessed individually
Vascular lesions vary widely in size and depth, and the treatment each one needs varies with it. Each lesion is therefore assessed, priced and treated on its own merits rather than as part of a fixed package.Assessment comes first

How it works
Small lesions are treated by cautery under local anaesthetic, sealing the vessels and leaving a small scab that separates over one to two weeks. Larger or deeper haemangiomas are excised and closed with sutures, with suture removal 7–14 days later.

The £95 skin lesion assessment fee is payable in addition to the cost of treatment.
A £50 deposit is payable when a procedure is booked and is deducted from the cost of your treatment.
Histology — £160 first lesion · £95 each additional lesion. Laboratory examination of removed tissue where clinically indicated as part of your assessment and management.
Suture removal is included where sutures are used.

Will they come back?
A treated lesion does not return; new ones may appear with age.
Do they bleed?
They can bleed heavily if knocked, which is the most common reason people seek treatment.
Is a red spot ever serious?
Rarely, but any lesion that is changing, growing or bleeding without cause is assessed carefully and referred if there’s doubt.
