Every lesion is clinically assessed before any decision about treatment. Anything atypical or suspicious is referred for specialist assessment, not treated here. We may also send the lesion to histopathology.

What it covers

Not every lump or mark falls neatly into a category. This page is for benign lesions outside the list above — dermatofibromas, milia, sebaceous hyperplasia, small benign growths of uncertain type, and anything else best identified in person. Treatment is by excision, curettage or cautery, whichever is clinically appropriate following assessment. Pilar cysts on the scalp are not treated under this heading — they fall under cyst removal and are priced accordingly.

The lesion is examined and identified before any decision about treatment. Lesions of uncertain or concerning appearance are referred for specialist assessment rather than treated here.

Local anaesthetic, then excision, curettage or cautery depending on the lesion. Where the wound is closed with sutures, suture removal 7–14 days later is included.

The £95 skin lesion assessment fee is payable in addition to the cost of treatment. A £50 deposit is payable when a procedure is booked and is deducted from the cost of your treatment. Histology — £160 first lesion · £95 each additional lesion. Laboratory examination of removed tissue where clinically indicated as part of your assessment and management. Suture removal is included where sutures are used. Treatment prices start from the figure shown.
